VISIT Milwaukee selects Meetingmax

Meetingmax announced today the signing of an agreement with VISIT Milwaukee. Through the agreement, the Milwaukee Convention and Visitors Bureau will use Meetingmax’s system to manage convention housing bookings for its more than 60 member hotels.

As part of its selection process, VISIT Milwaukee looked at several other housing systems. The organization primarily selected Meetingmax based on its user-friendly software interface.

“A big part of our mandate is to ensure that guests are warmly welcomed to Milwaukee, and that begins the moment they book their hotel room,” says Dave Larson, Director of Convention Services, VISIT Milwaukee. “Meetingmax’s system makes it easy for conference delegates to quickly search for a participating hotel, explore its features and book a room.”

“Right now we are seeing considerable interest in our system. Given current market conditions, CVBs are looking for ways to make it as easy as possible to manage events in their cities,” says Jeff Duncan, COO, Meetingmax. “Our system offers hotels, planners and CVBs powerful, customizable tools that allow them to efficiently manage their inventory.”

Meetingmax announced today the signing of an agreement with Cobb County Convention & Visitors Bureau. Through the agreement, Cobb County will use Meetingmax’s system to manage convention housing bookings for more than 13,500 rooms in 120 hotels.

“In today's market, meeting planners need reliable housing management and accurate pick-up reports for their events,” says Abbey Harwell, Communications & Marketing Technology Manager, Cobb County Convention & Visitors Bureau. “We were impressed by Meetingmax’s secure, 24/7 access to online inventory, room block management tools, and useful reports.”

“Meetingmax’s software simplifies the reservation process for attendees and decreases reporting time for planners,” continues Harwell. “Users get an instant confirmation when making, changing or canceling their reservations. This will add up to better hotel bookings and happier attendees.”

Meetingmax Signs Agreements With Four CVBs

Meetingmax announced today the signing of agreements with four Convention and Visitor Bureaus (CVBs): Tempe, AZ, Bakersfield, CA, Tri- Cities, WA, and Yakima, WA. These four communities will be added to Meetingmax’s growing roster of CVBs, meeting planners and organizations.

“Signing agreements with four CVBs within such a short period of time is a firm validation of our system,” says Jeff Duncan, COO, Meetingmax Systems. “With our background in planning meetings and events, we know exactly what is needed by CVBs, event planners, and hotels. We built the system that we always wished was out there.”

While Tri-Cities, Yakima, and Bakersfield had been shopping for a comprehensive housing system, Tempe was introduced to Meetingmax by organizers of the Ironman competitions. Based on their experience using Meeetingmax’s system to book guests into hotels for last September’s race in Madison, WI, they suggested that Tempe adopt the program prior to November’s event. Tempe’s CVB quickly saw the power of the system.

“Forward thinking bureaus and organizations should have the tools in place to make the entire reservation and housing process easier to track and simplified for all parties,” said Stephanie Nowack, CEO, Tempe Arizona Convention & Visitors Bureau. “Meetingmax is the best solution we’ve found to do this. Their systems have proven to be both easy to use and extremely well thought out.”
