It’s almost that time of year again… our attention was rapt in May with Cannes, waiting for the reviews and awards… a few weeks ago we were teased by TIFF, so close to home but just out of reach… now the wait is almost over for the 2011 Vancouver International Film Festival!
The festival begins on September 29 and runs until October 14, 2011.
This year marks the 30th anniversary for VIFF. Over the years the organization has presented 10,879 screenings of 7,656 films to a total audience of 3,139,412 film lovers.
This 30th birthday is the perfect opportunity for VIFF to celebrate the power of cinema and the arts. This year’s lineup showcases movies focused on literature, theatre, arts, music and dance. Meetingmax’s sponsored movie falls into that last genre; our sponsored movie this year is Crazy Horse.
